Optic-Craft Machining was founded in order to aid the amateur astronomer
in constructing telescopes at a minimal cost without sacrificing important
features and quality workmanship.
The advantage in our product line is a quality machined assembly at reasonable
cost.
Twenty years of research and development result in simplicity and rigidity,
coupled with smooth and effortless axial turn.
Satisfied buyers include universities, foundations, schools, research
companies, NASA and numerous private individuals from almost all states.
We have two styles of mountings. Models 1 and 2 are bushing mounts with up
to fifty-two pounds load capacity; Thrust bearings are available for Models
1 and 2. Models 3 through Model 10 have load capacity from sixty to eight hundred
pounds and use proven Pillow-Block bearings eliminating need for thrust bearings.
Select from this list of Telescope Mounts
to find the assembly that suits your next telescope application.
Add a Clock Drive to your Right Ascension and maybe your Declination axis for precise tracking of telescope objects. Don't worry about extra charges for anodizing; All clock drive worm gears are anodized a light gold color as part of the cost of the drive assembly.
